PMS Craving Cure .

Just when I think I have got everything nicely going ,I get off the rails.
And add some PMS to the mix - a recipe for disaster .Chocolate . Sweets . Fat .Lots of it . All together.
I have two life savers. They satisfy and don't lie to my hormones and mess them up further .

  • Full Fat Yoghurt + Banana + Walnuts + Sprinkle of cinnamon and organic Vanilla powder .

No fancy recipe this .Just assemble together and eat.You may add some honey .Or any other fresh, seasonal fruit.Bananas are especially soothing because of the potassium and B vitamins. Cinnamon stabilizes blood sugar.
Organic Vanilla, available at Fabindia outlets is plain delicious.Walnuts add crunch and give you the Omega -3 kick . Full fat Yoghurt is calcium, protein, good fats -all in one.

  • Square(or two :)) of Moser Roth 85 % Dark Chocolate

If you are more into sugar then maybe 70% will be better for you.Moser Roth is creamier ,meltier and more Cocoa -full than Lindt which I find rather hard and waxy with an unpleasant aftertaste.Dark Chocolate is high in Magnesium and Zinc .Naturally and deliciously soothing for the cramps and aches and tingles .

Enough Said ! Drool !!

You are making me drool over your chocolate...small nibbles of real dark chocolate is bliss :)
That dahi banana with almonds and walnuts does not need any sweeteners , we sometimes add a little brown poha to it.
Have you tasted the famous dahi chuda of Bihar? I have made many variations to that simple thing. I know you are off grains BTW.

Uh-uh.. this (banana+yogurt) was served to us every sunday night in our hostel mess under the name of "banana raita" :) Since my now husband, then classmate hates bananas,  I always had two cups! :) Although, it was unlimited and I could have just as easily had my own second cup!! :)
